Life Next Door (Love Not Included #2)
by: J.D. Hollyfield
Publication Date : November 3, 2014
SYNOPSIS
There is only one thing in life that professional pastry Chef Priscilla Westcott values more than baking and wine, and that’s honesty. A quality she soon learns that her marriage lacks when her husband runs off with their next door neighbor. Divorced and alone, Priscilla is determined to make changes in her life. She decides to approach her new goals like one of her beloved recipes. Surely with a little time, a dash of patience, and measured planning she can whip herself—and her life—back into shape. However, when a new—and utterly delicious—neighbor takes up residence in the house that ruined her marriage, Pricilla fears that her careful world will fold faster than a deflated soufflé. Trent Walker knows what he wants and his sweet, sassy neighbor is at the top of the list. He’s certain that the chemistry between them would be explosive, but Priscilla fears that an affair with him, however hot, could be a recipe for disaster.Purchase Links

**ARC given in exchange for honest review**
Pastry Chef Priscilla Westcott also known as “Cece” has three basic food groups: sugar, wine, & coffee. Her other biggest value is honesty; something her marriage is lacking when she finds out her husband wants the next door neighbor. They become divorced. She decides to move on. She one day hopes to open up her own bakery. A hot new neighbor moves in the house of the “she-devil” where her marriage was ruined.

Trent Walker is the hot neighbor and he loves the sassiness
and smart mouth of his neighbor, “sweetcheeks,” aka Cece. He is a man that knows what he wants and is
not afraid to go after it. He is a
detective on the vice squad. His title
and everything about him exudes sex.
There is a magnetic pull between him and Cece that happens anytime there
are near each other.
Will Priscilla give into the the desire for him, or will him
living in “that house” be a recipe for disaster?
I gave this book 4 stars.
I fell in love with Trent from the beginning. He seems innocent and playful, something I
think Priscilla needs in her life.
Everything with her is scheduled and she hasn’t allowed herself to have
any fun or enjoy any one’s company. She
needs some light in her life that she hasn’t had for a long time. The divorce put her into darkness. Baking makes her happy, but there is always
something missing.
Will she be able to
make her dreams come true by opening her own bakery?
Priscilla is very stubborn and tries to deny what is right
in front of her. She is afraid to allow
Trent in, but they do have some steamy moments.
Will their attraction be enough to hold their relationship
together? How will him living in the
house of the “she-devil” affect them?
This is book two of the series, but it can be read as standalone. Book one is not required to enjoy this
book.
